Longdole is situated in the heart of the Cotswolds, set in 300 acres of fabulous Gloucestershire countryside. The club benefits from its own pitches, stables, manege, all-weather arena and Club House.


Licensed and available to hire, the clubhouse is a timber-framed building with an excellent view over the all-weather arena. This is used throughout the winter and hosts several parties during the summer.


Longdole has 82 stable and 30 corals all with turn out, full and DIY livery available.

We offer wintering for ponies at a competitive rate with daily checks.

Longdole Polo Club has three outdoor pitches. 


The Prince of Wales

Ground is a full-sized boarded field situated close to the yard. The ground is a popular setting for charity games, parties and weddings and has been played upon by Princes Charles, William and Harry on many occasions. A unique addition to the ground is a beautifully restored bandstand that once occupied a prominent position at Royal Ascot Racecourse.

The Hanbury Ground

Is full-sized, laser levelled and boarded. The Brunei Ground is favoured for tournaments on account of its level playing surface and excellent turf.

The Brunei Ground

Is used regularly during the week and at weekends for chukka practice. This pitch is particularly resilient against wear and tear.


This is a new and enclosed stick and ball area, ideal for beginners.


The outdoor arena is a major attraction. It benefits a Martin Collins surface, high boards and netting. It measures 100 by 50 yards, qualifying by international standards, and provides a perfect surface for high level tournaments as well as a safe enclose for beginners. The arena is used throughout the winter and provides an excellent back-up facility in the summer should the elements go beyond our control!


A 20 by 40m all-weather arena and a four furlong (800m) well maintained all-weather track are available for fitness work to all ponies liveried at Longdole.


The wooden horse offers players an excellent and safe environment practise their swing and stick control. Located in a quiet part of the yard, players can practice with or without the help of an instructor without risk of injury to a pony.


There are two horse walker on site at Longdole.


Longdole has outstanding breaking and making facilities for young horses. Including corals, paddocks,  round pen, small arena and a crush (ideal for branding and vet work). For more details, please call the office.
